Holland, MI – The City of Holland approved plans for expansion: an outdoor patio café. Just in time for Holland's renowned Tulip Time Festival, this expansion promises to enhance the 205 Coffee Bar experience for regular patrons and new visitors alike.
Ryan Dawson, who co-owns 205 alongside his daughter Vanea, expressed enthusiasm about the project: "This will be our first year with an outdoor patio out back, and we hope to open in time for Tulip Time. We'll be adding twelve additional seats."
The planned outdoor seating area will be positioned behind the coffee shop, offering patrons a secluded yet welcoming retreat. "We're going to use planters to make it feel cozy and private," Ryan added. "And I'll personally be building the planters myself."
The father-daughter duo purchased 205 Coffee Bar in 2023 and has quickly established itself as more than just a place to grab a latte or cappuccino. It has become a popular spot for Hope College students, professionals, and locals who enjoy its coffee and food.
